MCHI – CREDAI Expo 2012

Maharashtra Chamber of Housing Industry (MCHI), formed in 1982, is the most prominent and the only recognized body of Real Estate Developers in Mumbai – MMR.

MCHI brings together members dealing in Real Estate Development on one common platform to address various issues facing the Industry. 

MCHI has a strong membership of over 1000 leading developers in Mumbai and has expanded across MMR, having its own units in Thane, Kalyan -Dombivali,           Mira – Virar City, Raigad and Navi Mumbai.

Members of MCHI account for 80% of the organized Development of new residential and commercial properties in Mumbai – MMR.

Together with the MCHI Code of Conduct for members, and the Consumer Grievance Cell, MCHI aims to promote the highest standards of quality and service in the industry, apart from ensuring transparency and fair dealing among Developers, Promoters and Customers.

The MCHI Code of Conduct was adopted in September, 2011 at the 29th Annual General Meeting and aims to promote  highest standards of quality and service in the industry, apart from ensuring transparency and fair dealing among  Developers, Promoters and Customers.

The Code, effective from 13th September, 2011, governs all the projects commenced after this date.

MCHI has also taken a strong, customer-friendly step with the formation of Consumer Grievance Cell (CGC). The CGC shall take up and resolve any valid complaint against an MCHI Member.

MCHI is recognized by Government of Maharashtra and the Central Government and helps in meeting their objectives of providing housing, which is a basic necessity.

MCHI works towards raising awareness among the General Public, Real Estate and Construction Industry while providing them with detailed information on new developments in and around Mumbai and MMR.

MCHI is a Member of Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India (CREDAI) and is also affiliated with leading Industry Associations like FICCI, IMC, ASSOCHAM and others.
